We finally decided to go for jQuery JavaScript framework and its great AJAX interaction. The first “Ajaxified” feature is the hability to filter the buttons by type (music, dictionaries, videos…). Anyway, remember that you don’t need JavaScript enabled in any SkyScarf page though it will help you.
Let us know if you’ve got any feedback or issues. Cheers!

You don’t need to remember prefixes anymore!
From now on, SkyScarf will guess the most relevant search engine when you don’t type in an existing one.
Just type in the dot (”.”) to let SkyScarf know you are searching a specific search engine, a single word for the search engine name and your query. Some examples:
-
.sk david bowie
-
.skre david bowie
-
.skreemr david bowie
All of them will search for David Bowie songs in Skreemr.
We suggest you to try it with the OpenSearch feature (it is amazingly efficient). Let us know if you like it or if you have any issues with this and we will help.

While we keep working on adding new features to SkyScarf if you think there’s a nice search engine missing in the list, just post it at the comments or send us an e-mail and we will review it. If it is approved (will mostly do) we will publish it and make it visible to everyone plus give you credit on it.
Oh, and we are also open for new ideas or ways of improving SkyScarf. Every good piece of feedback is appreciated and in some cases rewarded!
